Orpheus in the Pergamon

Here is a Roman mosaic floor showing a very buffed looking Orpheus charming a crow and a wolf with his lyre music.
It's interesting to know that the Roman Empire extended up here far to the north.
Roman iconography was very popular here on the C19th, and you see the styles used in buildings all over the city.
