Let's face it, staring at that Etape 20 information board made me hungry, so I used my more advanced knowledge of the other French obsession to find a good 2 hour lunch. Thanks to the news agent next door to the TI, I found a Michelin Green Guide to the Alpes Savoie and used my phone to photograph the restaurant listings for Annecy. I chose a place called Le Bilboquet and had the "menu affaire" base price of 22,00 Euros. This is the first course, cold canteloup soup with a garnish of lettuce and dried prosciutto.
One spoonful and I knew I'd scored a home run.
