Freiburg Hauptbahnhof

The weather is cool and rainy so I made my daily lunch sandwich from the hostel's breakfast spread, and rode Wm to the Baden Baden station, not close, 3.2km from my hostel at the north end of town. Caught the 9:17am ICE destination Basel, and enjoyed just walking on the train for once, unencumbered by bike and luggage. Today don't have to deal with broken handicap elevarors, flights of steps with retrofitted "bike" rails.
Wow, what an easy way to get around. Even got a seat facing in direction of travel for once.
As I expect weather to stay bad I might go to Basel tomorrow and check out Switzerland. Like Salzburg, one stop over German border is included in rail pass.
