Curry wurst and Kolsch

This is the famous "curry wurst" and the way people in Cologne serve their local brew, in slender tall glasses not bier steins or yard sticks/arms whatever those big long things filled with beer are called. Tonight's meal cost me about 6,00 Euro. Last night I went to a decent Italian place and ended up spending 33,00 Euro for the privilege. It was a nice meal of excellent asparagus ravioli, but more than I needed to spend.
I ordered the "classic" which is a large white sausage smothered on spiced tomato ketchup with a distinctive savory flavor, perhaps Worcestershire sauce? Who knows! These are Belgian cut fries. French style must be frites, skinny ones. I tried with mayonnaise. It's pretty good for a street food staple.
Found this Turkish/German place on Antwerpener Strasse, in what seems to be Cologne's "Belgium Town" an artsy neighbourhood of independent fashion boutiques and bistros.
It's quite close to my hostel, which is sort of close to the University, so younger and hipper than I am.
I'm footsore from a day of wandering Cologne's many cobbled streets and staring at the Dom.
