Before my 10am train back to Munich, I found time to visit Fussen's Baroque cathedral that houses a holy relic of an C8th saint Mang. His holy rod is encase in a lucite cross hanging in the main altar. The church is quite lovely with frescoes mixed with plenty of whitewashed wall. Unlike so many of the other German churches I've visited, this one is easier to like. Here are some cherubs holding up the pulpit on their chubby shoulders.
At 9:30am on a Monday I had the cathedral completely to myself.
