Tugs are my favorite port sight. In Seattle the Foss family own the franchise and all the tugs are named for family members, e.g., Lauren Foss, Michael Foss. Here in Hamburg, the Rainer Abicht boats are named for family: Jessica Abicht for example.
According to the brochure that came with my tour, in spring Hamburg has a Harbor anniversary festival, and these agile German tugs dance to waltzes!
Hey, all the Seattle tugs do during the Seafair festival is race each other and turn on their fire hoses to shoot torrents of seawater sky high.
