Trade-themed Streets of HafenCity

I've been spinning around on streets called Shanghai and Yokohama Strasse, past Vasco-da-Gama Platz and Magellan Terrassen.
Here's another anchor tenant planning to move in by September. Currently this new "University of Logistics" is marketing to prospective students with quotes from administrative staff and a few good looking college professors.
"You concentrate on studying, while we take care of the details" promise a couple of staff from the admissions department. I found this statement unselfconsciously funny. I thought a student of logistics would actually get a kick out of organisational planning. Coming from a US academic world, I also found it odd that there were no black people in any of the advertising. There were a couple of vaguely Asian looking students, but this was definitely a whites-only message. Sort of strange in a big port city like Hamburg, but representative of Germany in general I've found..
Racial diversity just isn't so important here. It's obvious.
Yesterday I was addressed in a mocking way by a group of Russian or Slavic language roughs, staggering through, where else I suppose, the Reeperbahn. They were responding to what they assumed about my dark hair and generalized somewhere from Asia not sure where though features. I suppose I could have said the only words of Chinese "Ni hao" that I know. Or responded in my only for special occasions Margaret Thatcher-channeling Language teacher English. Instead I ignored them. Too easy to shock not even a challenge.
