Found the small craft on the Aussenalster

Hamburg has two big lakes in the Center of town, created when the locals damned some stream or other to be able to wait out the 30 years war.
A mish mash of craft, pedal boats,?plastic kayaks, Iroquois style canoes, even a swan boat. The Aussenalster extends beyond the limits of my TI map.
I've visited some pretty toney neighbourhoods that abut the lake, and seen a couple of good sized yachts parked on trailers in the street. If you're not paddling something here you are sunbathing, riding your bike, or queuing up for Eis from the Mr Softy type trucks parked every few km along the bike path.

Germans just can't get enough sun. I've also seen plenty of cheaply made TShirts, emblazoned with strange slogans in strange English all about being a life guard, a surfer, a sun worshipper, etc.
I guess the long twilights here make the craziness about sunshine that much more intense.
And I thought people from Seattle were sun deprived.
