Hohenschwangau (High Swanland) Castle

This was a hunting lodge until 1912, rebuilt by King Ludwig's dad, Maximilian in 1830 on an older place previously destroyed by Napoleon.
Has a nice view of the lake Alpensee, and surrounded by a tender green forest.
I've taken a break for "Capp' n' kuchen" in one of the tourist hotels on the valley below, to dry out and plan my walk to Neuschwanstein.
