Things that are Funny to Foreigners

I find German vocabulary and grammar quite a challenge, and words I know from English take on strange misinterpretations as I wander around. I laughed out loud when I saw one building in Munich announcing "Schmuck" in large letters.
And this poster in my hostel also made me laugh.
Believe me, I've already made up several rude translations of the term: "pimp your klassenfahrt"

This hostel has the best name ever. It's called "Auf dem Stintfang."

What on earth is a "Stintfang" and why is it here in Hamburg's harbor?

All I can think of right now is a silly scene in one of the Charlie's Angels movie remakes, where Lucy Liu, Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore perform, dressed in high heels, sailor caps and skin tight lederhosen, using various whips and chains for extra syncopation and then kick the butts of the rather unsavory audience, destroying this dive bar, presumably located in Hamburg. Now, just a block over is the Reeperbahn district, which apparently makes the red light district in Frankfurt look like Disneyland.
My imagination is already dreaming up translations of "Stintfang."
