Tomorrow after a good sleep in the only single bed in my 5 bed dorm, and a leisurely breakfast with all the teenagers here on some sort of school trip, I will find a harbor tour, in English, and learn more about Hamburg. Coming from Seattle I have a weakness for working portscapes. I once had a job for 8 years that gave me a ringside seat on tankers, ferries, barges, cruise ships, sailboats, tugs,seiners, Alaska factory ships and sailboats, kayaks, and SUPs. I've seen many a container ship listing "hamburg" as its place of registration.
You see a lot of curious things if you see a working port year round.
