Tuesday off the bike

Catch up with a variety of chores, all of which move me closer to successfully leading the only TransAm ride for 2021.
This is my 2 year old Quince tree espalier-in-training, blossoming for the first spring that makes a difference. Prepare the soil before planting, site in the right location, check and water occasionally and be patient. All relatable for this year's challenging bike assignment.

Last week of tulip festival for this year

A Monday of decent filtered sun for the annual explosion of color in Mt Vernon. Lightly trafficked with considerate drivers. No one doing a sun blinded "I'm only capable of looking right because noone can possibly be coming uphill from the left" roll forward from a side street like yesterday. I brought along my whistle and safety triangle because of yesterday's near miss with an inconsiderate inexperienced driver.

Time to upgrade my tablet

I figured I need it for the Trans Am. My original is from 2013 so I've gotten my money's worth. It seems so long ago that I was able to come here.
