Nearly the end for my anenomes

My first spring with new bulbs. I hope they naturalize. A memory of the Mediterranean specifically Sicily in 2016.

Friday round trip to Columbia City

A bike ride with Alison to fill in for L's furnace repair call. This week is the first of radical adjustment to catastrophic health news for a close friend. I know the ride is hard and I know every one will help in some way, as yet unknown. I hope I have deep wells of resilience because it's needed.

23.3 miles on paved bike path on nice spring day

The Centennial trail from Snohomish is always a nice soft start ride low risk with untested friends. Easy pace of 9.3 mph and option to ride abreast. Early spring leaf out in trees and loads of dandelions, plus frogs singing.

Centennial Trail with new ride buddy

A first "get to know you" bike with a new FB group friend.

What are they doing?

Street sweepers killing time near the Lake Roesiger store.

Good company

But cold! Still all cars were considerate. Being a pair of women riders seemed to motivate patience. It's a nice back woods ride, but messing up the Dubuque Road turn sent us down down hill and forced a ride back up as it was raining more seriously and after 4pm. Weather blew through by the time we did east side of Lake Roesiger. 35+ miles and 2700+ elevation. An advanced ride for certain. But 2 sets of trillium and $4 for multiple color eggs from
hens enjoying an outdoor life under blossoming apples outside Granite Falls.

Granite Falls on a Wednesday

My ride with L of 35.3 miles and 2700+ feet elevation. Cool, light rain, long unplanned hill. What doesn't kill you…

Glorious spring

A rewarding day in Spring.

On Bow Hill Road

A beautifully painted container enroute.

What I love about Skagit County

F&S Grade Road and back to Sedro

So much snow in the hills.

My accustomed stop in Edison

A different route, downhill on Farm to Market Road. Traffic manageable and a grand view of both Mt Baker and Padilla Bay. Still a little chilly so I should remember to pack wind pants and full gloves. A good route to avoid the traffic for Tulip tourists.
