Mixed flock of handsome girls

The rural side of the Auburn/Black Diamond ride that makes it worth the drive from Seattle.

The Green next to the Green Valley Road

Maybe I'll come back when it's sunnier and warm and ride around Flaming Geyser SP.

An always beautiful barn in Kummer

Auburn to Black Diamond and back on a often cloudy spring day

I found this ride harder than I'd expected. Maybe it was the fast and noisy traffic or too many barking dogs. It's more urban each time I ride it.

Spring spin on cedar river trail

Great day for a manageable bike spin.

Centennial trail to welcome sun

My left knee has been troublesome from overuse on hard Parisian streets but I found a ride today that didn't exacerbate the pain. 19 miles on a lovely bike trail out of Snohomish with good views of snowy mountains through the barely budding bushes and plenty of frogs croaking. This week has been sunny so it's distressing to be injured.

Low low tide in Padilla Bay

Purple cabbages

Cold and wonderful cloud formations

Chuckanut Drive

The icing on the cake

Such joy to see this near Edison

Snow geese in their whomping flocks.

Back in the saddle

Sunday was 47 miles and 2,000 feet elevation on my favorite Bay view to Lake Samish and Chuckanut Drive lollipop. Chilly with headwinds and occasional sun breaks. Not sure if I've done this one so early in the year before now. As gorgeous as ever but I was really really tired by the end. I hope it's just lingering jet lag.
