Riding local, riding abroad. Doesn't matter. "One less car" bike commuting and "Bikes Belong" advocacy, plus "I ride solo" bicycle travel. Racing is fun, but there are so many equally great reasons to ride.

The kayaking practice course east of the Landsburg bridge over the Cedar
The end of my 29ish mile circuit and my car parked at the terminus of the Cedar River trail and 5 miles of gravel back to the noisy rail trail along Hwy 169. This ride is a mix of ordinary and scenic, with excellent road surface for 95% of the route, good shoulders, manageable fast east side traffic back through Hobart to Issaquah, and I-90 rush hour traffic home.
