Saturday September 25 in glorious fall weather

My transplants are thriving. They think this weather will last forever (or at least until they make it to maturity). The kale and strawberries will. Every thing else: leeks, arugula, climbing beans. Well who knows?

Champagne taste beer budget

Oh yeah, easy to find the styles to drool over. But at perhaps $70 per tile, my proposed backsplash and under cabinet project would start at $7k just for the tiles! No tools, no grout, no labor. Oh no!

22 miles to Georgetown

A splendid Friday to do some "utility" biking: visit Seattle Tile to look at glorious tiles for a kitchen re-do in 2022.

The consolation prize for a foggy hike

Fall is the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness.

Foggy hike to Pinnacle Peak

A brief glimpse of Mt Rainier

Drive via Stevens Canyon to Pinnacle Saddle

The snow loss on the mountain is very noticeable.

Camp on the American River Hwy 410

Last minute plan to visit Mt Rainier as I was required to drive to Fife, near Tacoma, to pick up a furniture delivery. Idea was do errands, drive to the park, camp then do a day hike on Friday. The formal USFS campground, Lodgepole was gated as were the other in the Naches area, so I found something informal and free.
