Riding local, riding abroad. Doesn't matter. "One less car" bike commuting and "Bikes Belong" advocacy, plus "I ride solo" bicycle travel. Racing is fun, but there are so many equally great reasons to ride.

Saturday September 25 in glorious fall weather
My transplants are thriving. They think this weather will last forever (or at least until they make it to maturity). The kale and strawberries will. Every thing else: leeks, arugula, climbing beans. Well who knows?
Champagne taste beer budget
Oh yeah, easy to find the styles to drool over. But at perhaps $70 per tile, my proposed backsplash and under cabinet project would start at $7k just for the tiles! No tools, no grout, no labor. Oh no!

A splendid Friday to do some "utility" biking: visit Seattle Tile to look at glorious tiles for a kitchen re-do in 2022.

Camp on the American River Hwy 410
Last minute plan to visit Mt Rainier as I was required to drive to Fife, near Tacoma, to pick up a furniture delivery. Idea was do errands, drive to the park, camp then do a day hike on Friday. The formal USFS campground, Lodgepole was gated as were the other in the Naches area, so I found something informal and free.
