Give it another month

Looking forward to a quieter location once the visitors have fled.

Too crazy at street level

Having breakfast upstairs away from the cruiser crush at street level.

Never gets old

Signature Sunday outing

First ride here since mid August

What the rain promises...

Saturday, a few miles along the trail to Necklace Valley.

Desperation camping at Dillon Beach

Urban camping with every misbehavior checklist ticked: no shower, heck no water period! yahoos in RVs with generators, people sneaking generators after quiet time, screaming kids, screaming drunks, people talking til 3 am, pounding rap music, dogs, people pouring lighter fluid into campfires, and some jerk setting off fireworks after curfew. Yep, everything to make you hate "camping". A scenic sand dune opposite Pt Reyes (Tomales Bluff) ruined by a grandfathered in private campground.

Back at Toby’s before riding to my car parked in Olema

Heirloom bean cassoulet

Baby kale, butter, fried tofu, shaved fennel and breadcrumbs with a ginger lemonade. I'm obviously in ground zero for foodie San Franciscans weekending in Pt Reyes. Comfort food before a night back in a tent in Samuel P Taylor State Park.

Side Street Kitchen in Pt Reyes Station

Very late lunch in Nicasio

Heading back over GG bridge after dropping off at SFO

Shrouded in fog, with top sticking up through cloud layer.

Wonderful for a morning swim

I managed the pool once this trip. Maybe morning as a bit chilly but still sweet as.

Hwy 1 finally hits the coast

22 miles of steep and winding mountain road through more redwoods, then finally you hit the Pacific. I guess Hwy 1 was a logging road before the era of the convertible.

California for lunch

In Cafe Phoenix, Arcata, fire roasted corn with cashew cream sauce, andouille sausage, over potatoes and wilted greens. Not the vegan option but gluten free I presume. There's a kitchen garden out back, lavish window boxes and attractive Victorian house across the street.

Paul Bunyan and his blue ox

At something called "Trees of Mystery" in Klamath, CA. So tacky it actually talks to you: "Hello I'm Paul Bunyan..."

Between Del Norte and the National Park

Quintessential road trip.

A drive through park

Still great though
