I stopped inside on my Sunday afternoon visit to the Zócalo. This is the Altar of Forgiveness, with Senor Del Veneno (Christ/Lord of the Poison). The statue is supposed to have miraculously turned dark brown after being kissed by a priest who'd been poisoned.
