Riding local, riding abroad. Doesn't matter. "One less car" bike commuting and "Bikes Belong" advocacy, plus "I ride solo" bicycle travel. Racing is fun, but there are so many equally great reasons to ride.

Pedestal of the Obelisk of Theododius
The needle is from Karnak (Thutmose III r1549-1593BC) and erected by Theo in AD390 in Constantinople). It's in what used to be the Hippodrome, used my Byzantine emperors for chariot races, massacres, etc.
