Grand Bazaar

Atmospheric, in the morning not overwhelming, and justly famous. We checked out punched metal lamps, tag teaming the cajoling/deflections/bullying, with politeness, firmness and strategic deafness. I'm not desperate to buy anything, so hard to crack. In an antiques shop specializing in vintage mosques oil lamps, we bought 4: 150 lira for 3, 250 lira for one of fluted glass and decorative metal casing. They were dusty but hand made, and delightfully authentic. My cobalt blue goblet shape engraved with small stars will brighten the coming dark days of a Seattle winter.
