For 100 pesos, I bought a metro and bus charge card that also seems to offer the ability to pay bills. First time I've seen one of these innovative tools for countries with a lot of people who can't afford bank accounts. I'm not sure how many trips I'll use up during my 10 days in Mexico City, but I like to use public transportation wherever I travel. I know to avoid rush hour and take Uber if things are unsafe. 100 pesos is about $US 5.15.
