I love the fact that flowers have colonized the base of the trees. On my ride yesterday I noticed the wild strawberries spreading their deep red berries on dry rocky ground comprised of soil of minerals not normally seen elsewhere. All they need is sun and a bit of water. Nature is remarkable.
