What you do in the Firehole River

This confluence of rivers that eventually combine to form the Madison River is a-list for fly fishing. I walked over from my tent in a Madison CG to see what's what. This teen hooked a rainbow when I arrived, cut it loose, cast again, and immediately hooked a big brown trout. He was kitted out head to toe in some effective, and probably expensive gear, but his dad told me proudly that "the student is now the teacher." This pair are obviously in love with the sport. Such glorious surroundings of "river runs through it." I get it.
