On the drive out I stopped to watch a shepherd whistle-guiding one of his 4 dogs up a slope to round up a group of sheep. The dog was having a great time sneaking up on the baas and then bursting on them like a wolf. Then, further along the road I met another shepherd, with another 4 digs, 2 kelpie, 1 hound and 1 collie herding another mob on the road.
