Riding local, riding abroad. Doesn't matter. "One less car" bike commuting and "Bikes Belong" advocacy, plus "I ride solo" bicycle travel. Racing is fun, but there are so many equally great reasons to ride.

Made it without wipe out
Of the 15 boarders I counted, 5 made it the whole way. The outside edge of the wave is flocked with wheeling sea birds at the point where it meets the mud flats. I'm guessing the fast water churns up all sorts of worm and shellfish delicacies.
