Left C&O towards Sharpsburg, MD for a spin through the National Park. Worth a longer visit if not biking. There are commemorative signs everywhere noting regiments, commanders, and all the information important to American Civil War enthusiasts. My knowledge of this subject is very limited, but it's an expansive park of woods and rolling fields, and not difficult to imagine as a battle site bloodbath.
