As I was taking photos of the bridge a bald eagle carrying a heavy fish by the gills flew into a nearby tree. The bird's wingspan was easily 5 feet and the full sized fish was obviously a heavy load to haul. It eyed me warily then decided to take off to the opposite bank where it could eat its meal in peace. Extraordinary lucky to see this.
