Tour du Lac

The weather report for Chamonix promised rain by 1pm, so I opted for the 40+km loop ride around Lake Annecy. This is a moment I took to rest on the 5km uphill towards Thones, turning off at Bluffy (great name!) for the 1.2km downhill to visit Chateau Menthon-St-Bernard.
It's humid and I have plenty of bikers for company, as many seem to do a route called the Tour du Mont Veyrier, which is a strong climb followed by a great descent past the chateau, with grand view across the lake towards Le Semnoz and a bunch of great looking peaks in the Parc naturel regional fu Massif des Bauges.
