Riding local, riding abroad. Doesn't matter. "One less car" bike commuting and "Bikes Belong" advocacy, plus "I ride solo" bicycle travel. Racing is fun, but there are so many equally great reasons to ride.

Going down anyone?
It's 147 steps on a wooden ramp nailed with metal cross bars to reach the first antechamber in the Red Pyramid. I was rather glad that there was another couple, from Michigan, joining me in the descent. Musty, spooky, dark doesn't begin to describe the experience. Cue the Indiana Jones. There were no other visitors. A small group of archeology students were leaving when I arrived. A totally different experience to the zoo at Giza later in the day.
