My room at La Maison De Pythagore

I've chosen to stay some 3x price of my historic Cairene pensione. A very different experience, in a 7-room traditional Egyptian house, made of stuccoed mud brick with tree trunks in the ceiling. Morning sounds are pre-dawn muezzin call to prayer, doves cooing and birdsong. Over the back wall of the courtyard is the dilapidated former Sheraton hotel, which is now rebranded as something else. The crash in tourism is abundantly clear here in Luxor. I'm spending the rest of my trip here overdosing on monuments.
