Not a lot of biking around here in medieval Cairo
I don't expect to do any bike rides on this trip. It would be crazy to try, and I doubt that Egypt is any friendlier to touring cyclists than it was to the Savages, who rode through in the 70s. Barbara's description of being stoned by villagers as she rode through with her husband on their world travels has remained with me ever since I read their book. Egypt has certainly changed since then, but In a place that built the pyramids in 2570BC, progress over the last 40 years is likely somewhat trivial.
