Riding local, riding abroad. Doesn't matter. "One less car" bike commuting and "Bikes Belong" advocacy, plus "I ride solo" bicycle travel. Racing is fun, but there are so many equally great reasons to ride.

Lunch in Saqqara
For E£300, about $17, I treated my guide and taxi driver and myself to mezze and Coke, followed by mixed grill of lamb kofta and chicken kebabs. The meat dish is tasty but optional for me, as I'm more interested in that delicious plate of puffy freshly baked pita breads, and anything I can dip or wrap into them. However, it seems that since Egypt's revolution and the economic implosion in the tourism industry, meat is a luxury for many locals. I didn't mind at all sharing a lavish lunch with my hardworking buddies. I am a rich and pampered American in so many ways. What goes around comes around.
