An old military barracks from the colonial period?

At this brief stop I guessed that all the lemon yellow painted buildings were once part of a military garrison. It's a chilly morning so these two men are enjoying a sit in the sunshine. There are several Rajasthani women waiting on the platform. Their extravagantly colorful attire is the clue.
