Riding local, riding abroad. Doesn't matter. "One less car" bike commuting and "Bikes Belong" advocacy, plus "I ride solo" bicycle travel. Racing is fun, but there are so many equally great reasons to ride.

Connaught Place
The Palladian archways of this once fashionable promenade are dreadfully scruffy, and this isn't really like England's city of Bath anymore. Burger King and Dunkin Donuts, anyone? It's a sad skeleton from the British era, even with a Benetton store and a Starbucks. I bought a flat white and, with all the added charges for VAT and service on the bill, I paid the same as in America. This in a city where yesterday I ate a plate of momos from a snack bar for 50 rupees, or about $0.80. No wonder the government is trying to enforce tax compliance through currency changes.
