Enter the mountains

About 2.5 hours from Delhi the mountains start to appear. They're stony and barren, but provide a contrast to the agricultural flat lands. Many fields are planted in a rectangular grid, each bed has raised edges, to help retain water. I assume these are rice fields. There are plenty of brilliant white herons wading alongside the farmer tending the paddies with a hoe.
