Kandy tea and rose vanilla tea biscuits

This combination cost nearly twice what I'd paid for the meal at Khan Chacha, but I needed to kill time before rush hour on the metro back from Khan Market. This is a very swanky Dilmah (Sri Lanka) tea salon. The triple hour glass doodad behind the cup is calibrated according to how many minutes you should steep the loose tea in the pot before pouring. Dilmah is a brand name from my Aussie childhood. I made the pot of tea last a good long time, which gave me a chance to talk with a fellow American at the next table, who's been in Delhi for 3 days, and is at the shell shocked stage I knew 4 days ago.
